His father and mother killed by tsunami, 26 December 2004 in Meulaboh, West Aceh. He is going to go Meulaboh next Monday, November 5, 2006. He will dedicate his life for helping Aceh people as a medical doctor in Aceh.
He is planning to work in Aceh and temporarily he will work in Permata Hati Hospital before he gets permanent post in Puskesmas (Primary Health Care) or other appointed post, depends on Ministry of Health appointment. I just made phone call with Dr. Marzuki in Banda Aceh, Dr. Marzuki welcomes Dr. Dani to work in Permata Hati Hospital.
This evening, October 31, 2006, he visited me in my house in Bandung and I took his picture. Mardani was born in Meulaboh, West Aceh, June 12, 1980. In January 2005, he served as logistics volunteer for National TV Station that took documentary film of earthquake and tsunami victims in his hometown, Meulaboh, to be aired to all over the world. As a hobby, he masters Capuera Brazilian martial art.
