REPORT NO. 42: Green TREES

We planted as many as possible trees surrounding the hospital. Trees with wide leaves create shady areas and cool breezes pass-through inside hospital corridors. Posted by Picasa

REPORT NO 40: Laboratory

Laboratory fully operates, we bought the last equipments needed: photometer, urine analyser, hematology analyzer.

REPORT NO 39: Clean Water

On 27-28 April 2006, water plant treatment (1.5 liter per second) has been installed. Sources of water: Ground water, pond and reuse from waste treatment facility. Rain water from roof of the building is conserved by collecting and injecting into ground water through 3 (three) wells (deep: 15-30 meters).

REPORT NO. 38: Training Center and New Logo


Three training rooms and one coffee break room fully operate at Permata Hati Hospital. The training rooms` names are: Siska Room, Dhaivina Room, Istiqamah Room to commemorate Dr. Marzuki`s daughters who were killed by tsunami.
New logo -- designed by Regi Riedweg, Australia replaces the old one (See left corner). Started: this month (April 2006).

REPORT NO. 37: Medical Bridge, USA


I apologize for my late report. On 21 November 2005, Permata Hati Hospital received 592 boxes medical supplies, donated from Medical Bridges, Inc. Houston through Indonesian Mineralogist Association, Houston, USA. Mr. Priyo Pribadi S handed over one container of the medical supplies to Permata Hati Hospital on 21 November 2005.

ASY-SYIFAA: FINAL DESIGN

Board of Directors of Hasan Sadikin Hospital, Bandung agreed to the proposed design, created by PT Pandu Persada, Bandung. Estimated budget: Rp 2,300,000,000. Some of the budget will be supported by Hasan Sadikin Hospital.

REPORT NO. 36: Permata Hati Hospital`s support for the poor


Since its reopening on 25 June 2005 (6 month after tsunami disaster 24 December 2004), PHH implemented the policy for helping the poor people by giving discounted prices or free of charge. Maximum target is 20% from its revenue for the poor people, considering hospital financial condition and will be reached step by step.

DONATION
January 2006: Total patients: 389 – Revenue Rp 39,112,700 – Donation Rp 2,515,000 (6.4%)
February 2006: Total patients: 324 – Revenue Rp 41,519,550 – Donation Rp 1,274,000 (3.1%)
March 2006: Total patients: 447 – Revenue Rp 57,519,900 – Donation Rp 1,609,000 (2.8%)

REPORT NO. 35: ABV visits


Dr. David Hill (Country Program Manager Asia) and Mr. Ali Syarief (Representative – Indonesia) http://www.abv.org.au/ visited PHH and Aceh on 19-22 March 2006. ABV will continue to support PHH and others in Aceh.

REPORT NO. 34: No more electricity problem


On 24 March 2006, diesel generating set 400 KVA installed in Permata Hati Hospital, donated by Stichting ONS, Nijmegen, Holland.

Others donation from Stichting ONS is water treatment plant and waste treatment plant.
Micro-hydraulics technology of water treatment plant, capacity 1-1.5 liter per second will be installed within this month. The apparatus now is on the way to Banda Aceh, sent from Institute Technology of Bandung on 6 April 2006. Scheduled to arrive in Banda Aceh on 14 April, 2006.
Waste water treatment plant is also under-construction.
